IT support for farms and rural business: Proper IT.
Turns up in wellies.
Daniel spent his career running IT for big companies. Now he brings it to the farm gate: Wi-Fi to the far barn, cameras on the yard, laptops that work, and someone you know by name when they don’t.
We don't milk it.

The farmhouse
What goes wrong
Two feet of Cotswold stone. The Wi-Fi works in the kitchen and gives up at the back bedroom.
What Daniel does
Mesh Wi-Fi: two or three access points, wired where possible, one network in every room.
Wi-Fi and networksBefore: the farmhouse router's signal fades out before it reaches the buildings.
Sound familiar?
Pick the one that's driving you mad.
The Wi-Fi gives up at the back door.
And the barn might as well be on the moon. Daniel gets a signal across the whole yard.
Wi-Fi that reachesThe parlour PC is older than the bull.
It runs the milking, so nobody dares touch it. Daniel will, carefully, with a backup first.
Farm systemsSomebody had the quad away.
Cameras on the gate that read number plates and send a clip to your phone at 3am.

Phones, alarms and the card machine may stop. A check of every one before 31 January 2027.

A laptop that will cope, the software installed, bank feeds connected, backed up. Your accountant does the tax.
Run the officeYou've had a text from 'HMRC'.
Forward it to Daniel before you tap anything. Then let him lock the rest down.

The clock is running on both of these.

The landline switch-off
The copper network closes. Phones, alarms, gate intercoms and card machines on the old line may stop, and the phone dies in a power cut.

Making Tax Digital at £30,000
Quarterly digital updates to HMRC for sole traders over £30,000. Gross income counts, subsidies included, so plenty of farms are in.

Meet Daniel
The bloke who used to run IT for the big firms.
Lucent Technologies in Malmesbury, Omitec, Continental, then Head of IT for the whole of IMSM, the ISO specialists. Networks for hundreds of people, security that had to hold, and the 2am phone call when it didn’t. Daniel started Milsch because farms and rural businesses deserve that level of IT, from someone who turns up.
We don't milk it
Four promises, written down.
The price before the work
A proper quote, agreed first. No padded hours and no 'while I'm here' extras.
No contracts
Pay as you go, or a monthly plan you can leave whenever you like. Nobody's tied in.
Plain English
Daniel explains it the way he'd explain it to his dad. Then he writes it on the farm IT card.
Same man every time
Not a helpdesk. Daniel knows your yard, your kit and which dog bites.
